Expiry, stock counts and cost per procedure
Batches with expiry dates, counts with differences, and the real profit of every procedure.
Available to: Owner, admin and reception
- 1
Purchases: record the lot number and expiry date with the quantity and price. Each purchase becomes its own batch.
- 2
Usage takes the batch that expires first (FEFO) automatically, so nothing expires on the shelf.
- 3
Supplies expiring within 60 days show at the top of Inventory, and those within 30 days in the bell.
- 4
Stock count: in Stock count, count what is on the shelf and enter it, or turn on blind count so the counter doesn't see the system quantity. Differences are posted as adjustments with their value.
- 5
Materials per procedure: set what each procedure uses (e.g. a filling: one composite syringe). When the visit is completed the materials are taken automatically; if stock is short the visit still completes and the shortage is recorded.
- 6
Reports → Profit per procedure: revenue minus materials and lab cost per procedure and per dentist, with the margin.
